Privacy notice
Last updated 13 October 2026
This notice explains what we collect when you join the Playnostic waitlist and what we do with it. This site has no accounts, sets no cookies and runs no advertising or tracking scripts.
Who we are
Playnostic (“we”, “us”) is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact us about anything in this notice at [email protected].
What we collect
- Your email address, which you give us when you join.
- Optional details you choose to share: what best describes you, which games you run or play, and whether you’d like to be a design partner.
- How you found us: which form you used, any campaign tags in the link you followed (
utm_source,utm_medium,utm_campaign), and the address of the website that linked to us. We keep only that page’s address, not its query string. - Your approximate country, worked out by our hosting provider from your connection. We don’t store your IP address.
- When you joined, and when you last updated your details.
Why we use it
- To email you about Playnostic: launch news, early-access invites and occasional product updates.
- To decide which games and features to build first, and to invite design partners.
We don’t sell your data or share it with advertisers.
Our legal basis
We rely on your consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, which you give by submitting the waitlist form. You can withdraw it at any time by replying to any email from us or by emailing [email protected]. Withdrawing doesn’t affect anything we did before.
Who processes it for us
This site and the waitlist database run on Cloudflare, which processes the data on our behalf under its data processing addendum. Cloudflare may process data outside the UK and EU; those transfers are covered by the safeguards in that addendum. If we measure visits to this site, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn’t use cookies or fingerprint visitors.
How long we keep it
We keep your details until you unsubscribe, ask us to delete them, or we close the waitlist, whichever comes first.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you, correct, delete or export the data we hold about you, or to stop using it. Email [email protected] and we’ll reply within one month.
If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, or to the data protection authority where you live in the EU.
